I just love pizza’s and making it myself because you can add your own toppings on it and as much cheese as you like. So here is my quick pizza dough recipe. I love making the dough for pizza parties especially the children they can then play and make their own pretty pizza. Enjoy!!
Serves 2 | Prep Time 20 min | Total Time 2 h30 min
Ingredients
- 1 (7g) package active dry yeast
- 1 tsp/5 ml white sugar
- 1 cup/250ml warm water (45 degrees C)
- 2 ½ cups bread flour
- 2tbs/15ml olive oil
- 1 tsp/5 ml salt
Method
- Preheat Oven to 230 degrees C.
- In a medium bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in Flour, Salt and Oil. Mix until dough forms and let it rest for 5 minutes or until needed. (I love making the dough after lunch and then use it for dinner time.)
- Turn the dough out on a lightly greased surface. Divide the dough in two balls. Roll or pat each ball out into a round.
- Transfer the round to a lightly greased pizza pan or pizza stone dusted with cornmeal.
- Spread the desired toppings and bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let your pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
