For a quick and easy dish you can’t go wrong with this… beef mince recipe works a treat. It uses only a few ingredients that you will have in your cupboard. When I make this dish I always think of my mum as this was one of her signature recipes that she would make for us and serve it just on toast. I made it today and used it as a filling in Boxty potato pancakes. You can also use it to make jaffles. Enjoy it anyway you want.
Ingredients
- 600g Beef Mince
- 1tbs Rapeseed Oil or Olive Oil
- 1 Large Onion, chopped
- 3tbs Chutney, Mrs Balls or Mango Chutney or any chutney you like
- 3tbs Tomato Sauce, All Gold or Heinz works well
- 1tbs Worcestershire Sauce
- 1tbs Bisto
- 1/2 cup Boiling water
- Salt and Pepper Optional
Method
- Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium heat and saute the onions until soft.
- Add the beef mince and fry until browned
- Now add the chutney, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce to the mince and stir through.
- Add the Bisto and boiling water and stir until it thickens
- Check the seasoning
- Enjoy on toast or like I do in a Boxty Potato Pancake.
