Sunday dinner sorted for the hubby and using the last of the Christmas leftovers for this lazy Duck Curry.. Simple and delicious 😋 Our St. Stephen’s day dinner sorted. Chopped salad made with the left over duck, some cold meats and cheese 🥰 Something light after two busy days in the kitchen. Christmas dinner for the hubby 🥰 Rotisserie Duck with creamed spinach, cinnamon sweet potato, roast potato, carrots and a lovely gravy with lots of port in it 😉 Hope everyone had a good Christmas day with loved ones ❤️ Christmas Eve salad for the family! Sweet potato, pomegranate and spinach… Have a Blessed Christmas one and all ❤️ Our meatless Monday all sorted with Mushroom, Egg and Herbs and Sourdough Toast on the side 😋 A Perfect way to start our Christmas week! Dinner in our house tonight is something light. I steamed a whole cauliflower and topped it with an anchovy, fermented chilli, caper and lemon butter .. It was beautiful and I am definitely making it again 😋 Sunday dinner done.. One of my childhood favourite combinations Maize porridge and cabbage. I added Paprika Pork sausage for extra flavour .. So good 😋 Friday night dinner treat for the hubby after a busy week.. Duck Ramen simple and delicious.. I still had a batch of duck stock in my freezer and thought this would be a good use for it with a bit of miso mixed in just because I love it and a chilli nut oil for a bit of warmth 😘 Sunday Dinner sorted.. Durban Lamb Curry with rice and a tomato carrot pickled salad.. Such a great recipe I got from one of the hubby’s work colleagues.. Full of flavour and warmth perfect on this rainy day😋 Having some quiet time in my kitchen while baking cookies and remembering my dear Aunt Ansie who passed away this morning.. 😞 Growing up we had fun in the kitchen just the two of us.. Love you always❤️ A special dinner tonight for the hubby.. Butterbean Puree topped with balsamic roasted tomatoes and peppers with some crispy burnt butter buckwheat and fennel fronds. I added some of my new batch masala kraut on the side.. Such a great comfy bowl of yumminess 😋 Meatless Monday made with love. Thick Vegetable soup ( I used dried soup mix, carrots, lettuce, onion, some homemade vegetable stock and tomato with lots of black pepper, ginger and garlic) It is so hearty and good 😋 Meatless Monday for the hubby tonight is Braised Beetroot and Lentil stew. So good 😋 Friday night fake away in our house is Korean style mushroom and pork belly with egg fried rice…😋 I totally forgot to add the pickled radish I made as a side.. we will have that another night 😁 Rooibos, Tomato and Pumpkin Soup.. I made a lovely Vegan Alfredo sauce and mixed it with macaroni and button mushrooms.. It was so yumm😋 Meatless Monday sorted with a nice Rooibos Pumpkin and Potato Curry.. Perfect on this wet and wild evening 😋 Windy Wet and Wild weather calls for soup 😁 I made my Slow Roast Vegetable Soup for the fun! Enjoy! 😋 Wacky Wednesday dinner treat for the hubby 😊 Slow-roasted pork ribs with fermented piccalilli and slaw on the side with spelt mini rolls 😋 My Niece and my bestie is celebrating their birthdays today so I thought I will do a tea and nibbles table to celebrate their birthdays in spirit with them. Happy birthday you two🎉😉 Scones with jam and cream, chocolate honeycomb cookies, egg sandwich and tomato and biltong on sourdough ☺️ For Meatless Monday this week I wanted to replicate the Risotto I had at The Old Bell Hotel in Malmesbury. It was so good. Light and fresh and I added some herbs for an extra oomph 😋 Sunday dinner for the hubby ☺️ Slow cooked Oxtail with Buckwheat, Pumpkin and Apple 😋 With Autumn outside it is becoming more and more stew weather and for Meatless Monday I made a Greenbean stew with barley 😋 Fish Friday for the hubby Tonight.. A rice bowl with Mackerel marinated in gochujang and miso and then grilled. I added some soybean, green onion and pickled ginger for some extra yumminess 😋 Wacky Wednesday dinner at work. I made some Tomato & Basil Pasta for the fun😉 Meatless Monday for the hubby. A warm barley, greens, kidney bean salad and green onion yoghurt 😋
